  5. Biography . Anna Elisabeth Auguste Alexandrine, Duchess of Mecklenburg-Schwerin was born on 7 April 1865 at Schwerin the only child of Friedrich Franz II, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and his second wife, Anna, Princess of Hesse and by the Rhine, who died 9 days later.
