Oliver was also the first "castaway" on Desert Island Discs, the long running BBC Radio 4 program. He was married to Winston Chruchill's daughter Sarah, until their divorce in 1945. Following his cremation at Golders Green, Vic Oliver's ashes were scattered in Section 4-H of the Lawns of Remembrance.
