Michael Tylo (* 16. Oktober 1948 in Detroit, Michigan; † 28. September 2021) war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler. Leben. Nach seinem Filmdebüt 1973 mit Detroit 9000 stieg Tylo 1981 in der Seifenoper Springfield Story ein. Dort spielte er die Rolle des Quinton Chamberlain bis 1985 und von 1996 bis 1997.

And though it’s been more than two decades since his last soap role — as Amber’s sleazy lawyer Sherman Gale on The Bold and the Beautiful — he is remembered as vividly as he is fondly. The actor made his daytime debut in 1980, playing Lord Peter Belton on Another World.

In addition to starring on “Guiding Light” from 1981-85 — and then again in 1996 for another year — Tylo also appeared as Matt Connolly on “All My Children,” Charlie Prince on “General Hospital” and twins Blade and Rick Bladeson on “The Young and the Restless.”

Michael Tylo, a soap opera actor who is known for his role as Quinton Chamberlain on Guiding Light, died on Tuesday, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) announced. He was 73 years old. Before his death, Tylo worked film professor at UNLV. The cause of death was not announced.
