Michael Hegstrand, professionally known as Hawk, died on October 19, 2003 from an apparent heart condition. He was 45 years old. Hegstrand, with longtime friend Joe Laurinaitis (professionally known as Animal), formed The Road Warriors, one of the most celebrated and influential tag teams in the history of professional wrestling.

24 de sept. de 2020 · Laurinaitis, who was born in Chicago, teamed with Michael Hegstrand -- known as Road Warrior Hawk -- during the 1980s to form the Road Warriors and Legion of Doom, the Los Angeles Times reported. The duo, with their metal spikes and painted hair, won titles in multiple promotions as a terrorizing tag-team combination.
