Gottlieb Daimler. Gottlieb Wilhelm Daimler (Schorndorf, 17 marzo 1834 – Stoccarda, 6 marzo 1900) è stato un ingegnere e imprenditore tedesco, nonché uno dei grandi iniziatori dell'industria automobilistica mondiale.
The pioneers of automobile manufacture towards the end of the 19th century were Gottlieb Daimler (1834-1900) and Carl Benz (1844-1929). They set up the predecessor companies which merged to form Daimler-Benz AG in 1926 – Daimler with his Daimler Motorengesellschaft (DMG) and Benz with his Rheinische Gasmotorenfabrik.

Just like Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach, he has to find a way to increase engine speed. And, just like the Cannstatt engineers, he focuses on ignition and valve control. Although his engine reaches a speed of “only” 400 rpm and is therefore less efficient than Daimler’s design, it already provides the necessary power to drive a “vehicle without horses”.
Nachdem Gottlieb Daimler 1882 die Gasmotorenfabrik nach Differenzen mit der Geschäftsleitung verlassen hatte, erwarb er in der Cannstatter Taubenheimstraße eine Villa. Das zugehörige Gewächshaus ließ Daimler umgehend durch einen Anbau erweitern und richtete eine eigene Versuchswerkstatt ein.
Gottlieb Daimler, co-fundador de Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft y pionero en la industria automotriz, fue un apasionado por compartir sus conocimientos y experiencias. Durante su vida, participó activamente en conferencias y seminarios relacionados con el campo de la ingeniería y la automoción.
Gottlieb Wilhelm Daimler (en realidá Däumler) ( 17 de marzu de 1834 , Schorndorf – 6 de marzu de 1900 , Bad Cannstatt (es) ) foi unu de los inxenieros, constructores ya industriales más importantes d' Alemaña. Foi unu de los pioneros de la industria automotriz mundial.
