It has been said that Jørn composed the guitar parts for this album while he was in prison for a church arson (committed alongside Varg Vikernes from Burzum). The lyrics of "Alone Walkyng" were written by Richard Chaucer in 1572. "Alone Walkying" is a later version of an Old Funeral song of the same name.
