4 de mar. de 2022 · Sir Wiliam de Bohun, Earl of Northampton, died 16 September 1360 and was buried in Walden Abbey, Essex. He held Elizabeth's lands until his death, when they passed to their son, Humphrey. Research Note. As well as being the mother of Richard de Arundel's 1st wife, Elizabeth was also the great-grandmother of his 2nd wife, Philippa de Mortimer.

Lady Elizabeth de Bohun was born around 1350, the daughter of William de Bohun, 1st Earl of Northampton and Elizabeth de Badlesmere. Her older brother Humphrey de Bohun, 7th Earl of Hereford married Joan Fitzalan, a sister of the 11th Earl of Arundel, by whom he had two daughters.
Elizabeth de Bohun was born in 1374. She married John Ragon of Bromham, Sheriff of Bedfordshire in 1414, in East Haddon, Northamptonshire, England. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. She died in 1472, at the age of 98.
Elizabeth eventually married, but it led to more tragedy. Her father-in-law was executed for helping to depose a king. Then, her husband, Edmund Mortimer, died as well. Finally, Elizabeth married William de Bohun—a man who, ironically, had helped arrange her former father-in-law’s execution!
