Leopoldo IV Federico, Duque de Anhalt (1 de octubre de 1794 - 22 de mayo de 1871) fue un príncipe alemán de la Casa de Ascania. Desde 1817 hasta 1853 fue el gobernante del ducado de Anhalt-Dessau y desde 1847 hasta 1853 fue también gobernante del ducado de Anhalt-Köthen.

Leopold IV Frederick, Duke of Anhalt (1 October 1794 – 22 May 1871) was a German prince of the House of Ascania. From 1817 until 1853 he was ruler of the duchy of Anhalt-Dessau and from 1847 until 1853 also ruler of the duchy of Anhalt-Köthen. From 1853 until 1863 he was the ruler of the joined duchy of Anhalt-Dessau-Köthen and from 1863 the first ruler of the united duchy of Anhalt.

The Duchy of Anhalt ( German: Herzogtum Anhalt) was a historical German duchy. The duchy was located between the Harz Mountains in the west and the River Elbe and beyond to the Fläming Heath in the east. The territory was once ruled by the House of Ascania, and is now part of the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt .
Hertog Leopold IV Frederik van Anhalt-Dessau-Köthen erfde Bernburg en verenigde alle Anhaltse hertogdommen tot een staat, met Ballenstedt als zomerresidentie. In 1866 werd Anhalt lid van de Noord-Duitse Bond en in 1871 trad het land toe tot het Duitse Keizerrijk .
