Kathleen Manners, Duchess of Rutland was an English aristocrat and the wife of John Manners, 9th Duke of Rutland. Frances Helen Manners, Duchess of Rutland was a British peeress and socialite. The wife of Charles Manners, 10th Duke of Rutland, following his death in 1999, she was known as the Dowager Duchess of Rutland .
As well as his custodian duties as Chairman at the Castle, the Duke has a keen interest in history. He is the co-author of Resolution, a 500 page book profiling two of his 18th-century ancestors – Charles and Robert Manners – which took four years to complete.

Charles John Robert Manners, 10th Duke of Rutland, CBE JP DL (28 May 1919 – 4 January 1999), styled Marquess of Granby until 1940, was a British peer and landowner.
