Princess Bathildis of Anhalt-Dessau (German: Prinzessin Bathildis Amalgunde von Anhalt-Dessau; 29 December 1837 – 10 February 1902) was a Princess of Anhalt-Dessau and member of the House of Ascania by birth. As the wife of Prince William of Schaumburg-Lippe she was a Princess of Schaumburg-Lippe by marriage. She was a younger sister of Grand Duchess Adelaide of Luxembourg.

  3. Portrait of Princess Bathildis, c. 1860 s. On 30 May 1862, William was married to Princess Bathildis of Anhalt-Dessau (1837–1902) at Dessau. The Princess was a daughter of Prince Frederick Augustus of Anhalt-Dessau, and his wife, Princess Marie Luise Charlotte of Hesse-Kassel. Together, they were the parents of eight children:

Batilde María Leopoldina Ana Augusta de Schaumburg-Lippe (en alemán: Bathildis Marie Leopoldine Anna Auguste zu Schaumburg-Lippe; Ratiboritz, 21 de mayo de 1873- Arolsen, 6 de abril de 1962) fue hija del príncipe Guillermo de Schaumburg-Lippe y consorte del príncipe Federico de Waldeck-Pyrmont .

  5. His maternal grandparents are Friedrich, Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont and Princess Bathildis of Schaumburg-Lippe. His grandfather was overthrown as Grand Duke of Oldenburg in 1918, at the end of World War I. His father Nikolaus thus never legally succeeded to the title when the deposed Grand Duke died in 1931.

Helena was born at Arolsen, Waldeck and Pyrmont the third child and first and only daughter of Friedrich, Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont (1865–1946), and his wife, Princess Bathildis of Schaumburg-Lippe (1873–1962), daughter of Wilhelm Karl August, Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe. She was a first cousin of Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands.

  7. He was born in Lensahn the son of Hereditary Grand Duke Nikolaus of Oldenburg (1897–1970) and his first wife Princess Helena of Waldeck and Pyrmont (1899–1948). Duke Anton-Günther was a grandson of Frederick Augustus II, the last Grand Duke of Oldenburg, and through his mother a grandson of Friedrich, the last Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont .
