The Union of Evangelical Congregational Churches in Brazil is an association of churches of Congregational origin in Brazil. It was founded by a couple namely Robert Reid Kalley and Sarah Poulton Kalley, who arrived in Rio de Janeiro in May 1855 to begin mission work. The work developed. The first believer was baptised in November, 1857.

Overview. The Union was established by virtue of a decree of 18 April 2006. It was celebrated on 7 May 2006 with a special service at St. Thomas Church in Strasbourg . It has the responsibility for organizing joint activities and strengthening relations between the two constitutive churches in Alsace and the department of Moselle in Lorraine .

The union has its origins in an Evangelical group in 1867 and its leader Nikita Isaevich Voronin who was baptized in the Kura river in Tbilisi, Caucasus, in present-day Georgia. [1] German Mennonites in Ukraine and Lutherans in the Baltic coast started a revival that became known as " Stundist ", which led to the formation of churches composed of baptized adult believers.
Beginnings. American missionaries founded the Congregational Churches in Bulgaria 150 years ago when Bulgaria was part of the Ottoman Empire. The mission developed from the work of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions. In 1819, the congregationalists and Presbyterians begun to consider mission to Bulgaria.
History and structure. The NCCP was established in 1963. Its forerunners include the Philippine Federation of Christian Churches in 1949; the Philippine Federation of Evangelical Churches in 1939; the National Christian Council in 1929; the Evangelical Union in 1901; and the Missionary Alliance in 1900.
