Jul 2023 • Family. Our favorite State Park campground - which also happens to be Michigan's oldest State Park. Nestled between two Lakes, the virgin forest is lush and full. The campground facilities are excellent, the rangers kind and helpful, the camping quiet and the proximity to Interlochen Arts Center makes this a perfect location.

8 de abr. de 2019 · Fearing what that loss would mean, area representatives began lobbying state lawmakers to save the park, and in 1917, the Michigan Legislature purchased Pine Park for $60,000. On May 12, 1919, the Michigan Legislature established the Michigan State Park Commission, and shortly thereafter, Pine Park became Interlochen State Park—Michigan’s first state park.

Interlochen State Park is a beautiful campground set right on Duck Lake, which is large, clean and perfect for swimming, boating, or fishing. It is ideal for families of all ages. The campgrounds are clean and there are a variety of places to travel to within a short drive such as lake Michigan, Traverse City and others.
