Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is een gothic novel van de Schotse schrijver Robert Louis Stevenson. Het boek werd gepubliceerd in 1886. Stevenson schreef binnen drie dagen een eerste versie, naar verluidt als gevolg van een nachtmerrie, maar deze versie werd op advies van zijn vrouw vernietigd.
