Grand Peterhof Palace. Once a formal garden built for Peter the Great, this popular park still has more than 80 of the original marble statues and sculptures and houses Peter's Summer Palace, a simply designed two-story building that now displays many of the ruler's own artifacts. 12 de sept. de 2022 · Peterhof (Russian Петергоф or Петергоф, Petergof) is a town within the Petrodvortsovy district in St. Petersburg, at the shore of the Gulf of Finland, located about 30 kilometers west of St. Petersburg. This small town is famous because in it you will find the palaces and gardens of Peterhof, created by order of Peter the Great.
4. The Peterhof Grand Palace is open 10.30 — 21.00, daily except the last Tuesday of the month. Entrance fee is 1000 rubles. Please, note that individual visitors are allowed to enter only in limited hours, the rest of the time the museum serves tourist groups. Timofeev. After 200 years of serving as a grand summer residence of the emperors, Peterhof is inextricably connected with the Russian history. The seaside paradise was built, as a grandiose triumphal memorial glorifying the grandeur of Russia, in conquering the much needed and desired access to the Baltic Sea, during the Great Northern War.
