  1. Peterhouse. Peterhouse is the oldest and smallest of the Cambridge Colleges, founded in 1284. We admit about 75 undergraduates a year and welcomes candidates in almost all courses offered by the University. The size of the College, both in terms of its physical space and student body, give us our cozy, friendly atmosphere.

  5. Peterhouse is the oldest college in Cambridge [but don't you dare call it "Peterhouse College"] dating from 1284AD. And one of the three smallest, at around 240 undergraduates. A long way south on Trumpington Street; so most tourists don't get that far. And the main street entrance is quite discrete, with views blocked by the back of the Chapel.

An early symptom of the connexion of the College with the new religious movement was the departure of Peter Baro from the College and from Cambridge after he had offended the Calvinists in 1596.
