Kathryn Stockett's book "The Help" was published in (2009). The book is an attempt at describing a true picture of the life of black female domestic/ household servants. It is about how they live in a discriminating environment, face violence and abasement but at the same time have hope for change, betterment and peace.
24 de jun. de 2013 · The audio version of the book is magnificently read by 3 wonderful actresses who do an amazing job at bringing these rich characters and their stories to life. The Help is at once charming, heart wrenching, eye-opening, funny, uplifting and empowering. It is also not without flaws, of course.
