11 de ene. de 2023 · The care home, in Palmerston Street, was run by not-for-profit organisation by the Countess Mountbatten of Burma Memorial Trust. It had 23 beds supported by 30 full and part time staff. A registered charity, the management of the home was overseen by a board of trustees. The trustees took the decision to close the care home on July 15.
23 de feb. de 2024 · Churchill Retirement Living's scheme for the former Edwina Mountbatten House care home to be converted into 47 flats had been due for a decision on Tuesday, February 20. However, Test Valley Borough Council's southern area planning committee was cancelled, with chairman Cllr Mark Cooper saying the decision will be made on Tuesday, March 12.

Nomads took excerpts from their show ‘The Rock & Roll Years’ and performed those songs to the residents. The performance took place outside with the residents sitting in their lounge and dining area.
26 de dic. de 2023 · The retrospective plan is for the former Edwina Mountbatten House care home in Broadwater Road. The site has been bought by Churchill Retirement Living, who applied for 47 retirement apartments earlier this year. In the meantime, the developer put up hoardings to secure the area without planning permission.
