George Victor Robert John Innes-Ker, 9th Duke of Roxburghe was the son of Henry John Innes-Ker, 8th Duke of Roxburghe and Mary Goelet. He succeeded his father in 1932. He was married twice, first to Lady Mary Evelyn Hungerford Crewe-Milnes on 24 October 1935; this marriage ended in divorce in 1953.
Henry John, 8th Duke was succeeded in 1932 by his eldest son, George Victor Robert John Innes-Ker (1913-1974), 9th Duke of Roxburghe, educated at Sandhurst. Today the title is held by Guy David Innes-Ker (b. 1954), 10th Duke of Roxburghe, educated at Eton, Sandhurst, and Magdalene College, Cambridge.
