Entry into Roedean School (SA) The majority of girls enter the Junior School in the Grade 0 class in the calendar year in which they turn 6. Candidates must have reached their 5th birthday when entering the school in Grade 0. Occasional vacancies do occur for all other classes at various stages during the year.
It is a sister school of Roedean School in Brighton, England which was founded by three older sisters of Theresa Lawrence, namely Penelope, Millicent, and Dorothy. The school began with 22 pupils, and was situated in a small house in Jeppestown, Johannesburg. In 1904, it relocated to its current site in Parktown, Johannesburg.
