Vladivoj's brief rule as duke of Bohemia is primarily important because he was the first Bohemian duke officially accepting Bohemia as a fief from the Holy Roman Empire. Jaromír (964 - 4 November 1035) was duke of Bohemia in 1003, 1004 to 1012 and 1033 to 1034. He was son of Boleslaus II and brother of Oldřich and half-brother of Boleslaus III. He was a son of Duke Bořivoj I of Bohemia by his wife Ludmila and the younger brother of Duke Spytihněv I. Around 906 he married Drahomíra, a Hevellian princess, establishing close ties with the Polabian Slavs. Vratislaus had at least two sons, Wenceslaus and Boleslaus, both of whom succeeded him as Bohemian dukes.
