Anne's sister Isabel Neville and her husband the Duke of Clarence took custody of her and her mother Anne Beauchamp, probably in an attempt to take her inheritance. The Duke of Clarence's brother Richard III intervened and married Anne in 1483, she was crowned Queen of England, just 2 years before her death.
