  4. Amar Singh I was the ruler of Mewer who ruled the state during the period 19 January 1597 - 26 January 1620. But he is better remembered as the son of great warrior - Maharana Pratap. Amar Singh was the eldest son of Pratap and his first wife - Maharani Ajabade Punwar. The kingdom of Mewar was set up by his paternal grandfather Udai Singh II.
