4 de abr. de 2023 · He had two wives: Agnes Cunningham and unknown wife. Andrew Stewart, 2nd Lord Stewart of Ochiltree was born after 1521. He was the son of Andrew Stewart, 1st Lord Stewart of Ochiltree and Margaret Hamilton.2 He married Agnes Cunningham, daughter of John Cunningham, 5th of Capringtoun, before 27 October 1549. He died on 21 March 1601/2.3.

26 de abr. de 2022 · Henry Stewart, 1st Lord Methven (c. 1495 – 1552) was Master of the Scottish Artillery and last husband of Margaret Tudor, eldest daughter of Henry VII of England and Elizabeth of York. Ancient lineage. He was a son of Andrew Stewart, 1st Lord Avondale and his wife Margaret Kennedy. His brother was Andrew Stewart, 1st Lord Ochiltree.
5 de oct. de 2021 · Andrew was the son of Walter Stewart. [1] Knighted in 1437, Andrew Stewart was created Lord Avandale in 1459. [1] He was the Keeper of Stirling Castle 1467, Ambassador to Denmark 1468. He also became an Ambassador to France. The existing Castle at Strathaven was rebuilt by Andrew in 1458. He died without issue in 1488 [1] or at least no male issue.
