Das Aquarell von Christiane Vulpius (damals 23 Jahre alt) und ihrem Sohn Julius August Walther von Goethe (damals 3 Jahre alt) wurde 1792 von dem Maler und Architekten Johann Heinrich Meyer (1760-1832) nach einer Vorlage von Raffaello Santi gemalt. Das Gemälde findet man in der Großen Stube in Goethes Wohnhaus am Frauenplan.
