17 de nov. de 2018 · Edward Cella Art & Architecture is proud to present Lawrence Halprin : Alternative Scores - Drawing from Life, the first exhibition of a collection of rarely-seen drawings by Lawrence Halprin (1916-2009), a leading figure in American landscape architecture, urban design, and environmental planning during the second-half of the twentieth century.
31 de may. de 2021 · To honor her late husband who died in 2009 at the age of 93, Halprin created a site-specific trilogy which included Spirit of Place performed in an outdoor theater that Lawrence Halprin had designed. For her 95 th birthday in July of 2015, she passed along her love of dance to her grandson Jahan Khalighi in a poetic duet.
The Halprin Landscape Conservancy was founded in 2001 as an advocacy organization to preserve, enhance, and activate the Portland Open Space Sequence. In 2008, it co-produced a National Endowment of the Arts American Masterpiece entitled The City Dance of Lawrence and Anna Halprin, a major dance/music performance that drew thousands to the Sequence, and a monograph on its history.
