Charles FitzCharles (1657 – 17 octobre 1680), 1 er comte de Plymouth, était le fils du roi Charles II d'Angleterre et de sa maîtresse Catherine Pegge. Son comportement plaisant et affable lui apporta à la cour d'Angleterre le surnom de Don Carlos .
Charles FitzCharles, 1st Earl of Plymouth (1657 – 17 October 1680), was the illegitimate son of King Charles II of England and Catherine Pegge. He had a sister, Catherine, who is believed to have become a nun. His mother went on to marry Sir Edward Greene of Samford in Essex, and had one child, Justinia Greene.
24 de may. de 2024 · During the Pegge family’s exile in Bruges, Catherine and Charles met and had two illegitimate children. Charles FitzCharles, 1st Earl of Plymouth had one full sister, Catherine FitzCharles, born in 1658. Very little is known about Catherine. Although some think she became a nun and died in 1759 when she was 101, she probably died young.

Diana, Princess of Wales was descended from two of Charles' illegitimate sons; Henry Fitzroy, 1st Duke of Grafton and Charles Lennox, 1st Duke of Richmond. This means should her son Prince William, Prince of Wales, take to the British throne as he is expected to, William would become the first blood descendant of Charles II to do so.
