Hace 6 días · Katherine's brother Henry Carey, Lord Hunsdon has a magnificent monument in St John the Baptist's chapel. Katherine was the daughter of William Carey and Mary Boleyn and was born about 1524. In about 1540 she married Francis, elder son of Robert Knollys.
Within a week of his father’s death Knollys applied for the treasurership of the Household. He would serve under Lord North as comptroller, but declined the vice-chamberlainship, which he heard was intended for him. Knollys had to wait until 1602 for the treasurership, but within a few weeks he became comptroller and a Privy Councillor.

27 de jul. de 2015 · From Mary to Catherine Cary (Henry VIII’s daughter?) Anne Knollys, Richard West, and Joane West who came to America in 1638 to the Massachusetts Bay colony. I’m not sure if DNA could answer the question if Henry is the father of Catherine Cary. Even if you tested descendants of Mary, it’s so long ago not sure how much DNA there would be.
