  6. Patricia lived with her parents in Canada and became extremely popular. On 22 February 1918, she was named Colonel-in-Chief of Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, the last private regiment ever raised in the British empire and she designed the badge and colours herself.

  7. Princess Patricia was the third and youngest child of the Duke and Duchess of Connaught. In later life the Princess became an accomplished artist. She married Captain Alexander Ramsay in 1919 and was subsequently known as Lady Patricia Ramsay.
