At Trinity College, Cambridge, he associated with the evangelical group led by Isaac Milner, being studious and earnest, modest and timid. Having to make his own way in the world, he trained for the bar and practised on the midland circuit.
8 de may. de 2012 · As it was a fine evening Mr. Spencer Perceval, the Tory First Lord of the Treasury, or Prime Minister, had decided to dispense with his carriage and walk from No. 10, Downing Street, to the Houses of Parliament. He arrived there around 5.15pm, entered the building and walked down the corridor towards the lobby entrance to the House of Commons.

A lawyer by training and an evangelical christian by belief, Perceval first entered Parliament in 1796 as MP for Northampton and thereafter experienced a rapid rise to power, becoming Solicitor-General in 1801 and Attorney-General in 1802.
