Married firstly Juliane Ursula of Salm-Neufville (1572 – 1614) daughter of the Frederick, Wild- and Rhinegrave of Salm-Neufville, secondly Agathe (1581 – 1621) daughter of George III, Count of Erbach and thirdly morganatically Elisabeth Stolz (d.1652) daughter of Johann Thomas Stolz.
Christine of Baden-Durlach. Christine of Baden-Durlach (22 April 1645 – 21 December 1705) was a German noblewoman. She was a daughter of Frederick VI, Margrave of Baden-Durlach and his wife Christina Magdalena of the Palatinate-Zweibrücken. Her first marriage was to Albert II, Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach.
Christopher of Baden-Durlach (9 October 1684, Karlsburg Castle, Durlach – 2 May 1723, Karlsruhe) was Prince and (titular) Margrave of Baden-Durlach. Christopher was the second son of Margrave Frederick VII Magnus of Baden-Durlach and Augusta Marie of Holstein-Gottorp (born February 6, 1649 – † April 25, 1728), daughter of the Duke Frederick III of Holstein-Gottorp.
In 1771, the main Baden-Baden line became extinct, and all of the Baden lands came under the rule of the Baden-Durlach line. The reunited margraviate existed until 1803. During the Napoleonic era , in the imperial reorganisation of 1803, Baden gained a great deal of additional territory, and its ruler was promoted to become one of the few prince-electors of the Holy Roman Empire .
The Margraviate of Baden-Durlach was an early modern territory of the Holy Roman Empire, in the upper Rhine valley, which existed from 1535 to 1771. It was formed when the Margraviate of Baden was split between the sons of Margrave Christopher I and was named for its capital, Durlach.
