Yale students have until the end of sophomore year to declare a major. Yale graduates in all majors are prepared to serve in positions of leadership in every imaginable field. Yale will accept any one of these applications, without preference for one over another. Students should submit one—and only one—application per admissions cycle. The program selects exceptional seniors to live among first-year students on Old Campus or in residential colleges and offer oversight, advice, and guidance. First-Year Counselors, colloquially known as “FroCos,” seek to ease the transition of incoming first-years to the academic, social, and cultural life of Yale College.
