Dans Mean streets il les montre jeunes et ambitieux, luttant pour extorquer 40 malheureux dollars à deux jeunes drogués. Avec Goodfellas le gang devient plus organisé, le mot parrain n'est pas prononcé mais Scorsese y fait allusion.
