Brief Life History of Moritz. When Moritz Von Hesse Kassel was born on 13 June 1614, in Hesse-Nassau, Prussia, Germany, his father, Moritz "the Learned" von Hessen-Kassel, was 42 and his mother, Gräfin Juliane von Nassau-Siegen, was 26. He died on 16 February 1633, in his hometown, at the age of 18.

Moritz, born 14 July 1600 at Kassel, Coadjutor of Abbey of Hersfeld from 10 August 1608, died at Kassel 11 August 1612; Wilhelm V, born 13 February 1602 at Kassel, succeeded his father as Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel. Agnes died 23 November 1602 at Laubach and was buried there. [1]
