The whole film alternates real life (as a biographic movie) and the ideas Brecht had for the script of his intended adaptation to cinema (in a bright musical). While the text is brilliant, including Brecht's writings, art direction and cinematography are gorgeous, the ironic and fierce songs are very good, and all actors and director did a great job.
