Charles Paget ist der ältere Sohn von George Paget, 7. Marquess of Anglesey (1922–2013). Als Heir apparent seines Vaters führte er zu dessen Lebzeiten den Höflichkeitstitel Earl of Uxbridge. Seine Mutter war Elizabeth Shirley Vaughan Morgan (1924–2017), die Tochter des Schriftstellers Charles Langbridge Morgan (1894–1958).

On 13 Oct 1898 Henry Paget 4th Marquess Anglesey (age 62) died. He was buried at St Edwen's Church, Llanedwen. His son [his son] Henry Cyril "Toppy" Paget 5th Marquess Anglesey (age 23) succeeded 5th Marquess Anglesey, 6th Earl Uxbridge, 8th Baronet Bayly of Plas Newydd in Anglesey.
