To appease him, Edward Seymour granted Thomas the title of 1st Baron Seymour of Sudeley and created him Lord High Admiral. However, this was not enough. We know Thomas Seymour had a beard and mustache, so that matches…but in all his other known portraits he is wearing a hat — appears to be the same hat in each portrait.
