He married Countess Dorothea Anna von Lodron, and they had four children, of whom three had children in turn. After the death of Matthias, his widow in 1650 married Prince Ferdinand von und zu Liechtenstein, but she had no more children.

23 de abr. de 2023 · Matthias Gallas, 1584-1647, italiensk feltmarskal i Bayerns hær under Trediveårskrigen. Gallas trådte i 1629 i kejserlig tjeneste og deltog i Mantovas erobring i 1630. Som generalløjtnant blev han i 1633 Wallensteins næstkommanderende, men sluttede sig til sammensværgelsen imod ham og blev under ærkehertug Ferdinand (3.s) formelle kommando Wallensteins afløser som øverstbefalende.
