Biography. Bogislaw was born in Barth as a member of the House of Griffin. He was the third son of Duke Bogislaw XIII by his first wife Clara of Brunswick-Lüneburg. On the death of his father in 1606, he and his younger brother George II became joint dukes of Rügenwalde (Darłowo). George II died in 1617, and Bogislaw became sole ruler.
13 de abr. de 2022 · Bogislaw returned to Pomerania, and Wartislaw travelled southwards to meet with Wartislaw VIII, Duke of Pomerania. Both Wartislaws then travelled through Hungary. In Smederevo,[nb 1] a town southeast of Belgrad (then part of Hungary, now part of Serbia) Wartislaw VII fell ill, and in 1393 returned to Pomerania while Wartislaw VIII continued the pilgrimage alone.[3]

26 de abr. de 2022 · Their daughter Elisabeth of Pomerania (1291–1349) married Duke Eric I of Saxe-Lauenburg ca. 1318. Their daughter Euphemia of Pomerania married Christopher II of Denmark. In the 1290s with his brothers now adults, Pomerania was divided between them with Bogislaw receiving Wolgast as his share. Barnim II died soon afterwards and Otto ruled Stettin.
