The baptism service was conducted by Father Sjaak de Boer, who had co-officiated at the religious wedding of Duke Leopold’s parents, Hereditary Prince Alexander and Hereditary Princess Hande.

  3. Georg Alexander, Duke of Mecklenburg (27 August 1921 – 26 January 1996) he married Archduchess Ilona of Austria on 20 April 1946 and they were divorced on 12 December 1974. They have four children. Duchess Helene of Mecklenburg (15 November 1924 – 8 July 1962) she married Hassan Sayed Kamil (1918–1991).

  6. Duke Carl Michael. His Highness Carl Michael Wilhelm August Alexander, Duke of Mecklenburg, Prince of Wenden, Schwerin and Ratzeburg, Count of Schwerin, Lord of the Lands of Rostock and Stargard, was born on 17 June 1863 at the Oranienbaum Palace near St Petersburg. He was the youngest child of Duke Georg and his wife Duchess Ekaterina.

Although the former Count Georg also had two sisters alive in 1928 instead of retroactively recognising the marriage of their parents as dynastic meaning Count Georg’s sisters would automatically become Duchesses of Mecklenburg and members of the House of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Duke Carl Michael bestowed that status only upon Count Georg, his wife and children.
