Edmund Spenser ( 1552 tai 1553 – 13. tammikuuta 1599 Lontoo, Englanti) oli englantilainen runoilija. Hän oli merkittävä renessanssilyriikan ja sonettirunouden edustaja. [1] Spenser opiskeli lontoolaisessa Merchant Taylors' School -koulussa ja Pembroke Collegessa Cambridgessa. Vuodesta 1580 hän asui Irlannissa virkamiehenä ja tilanomistajana.
