Guarino fu un grande educatore, insieme a Vittorino da Feltre il massimo della sua epoca; e dalla sua scuola uscirono generazioni di umanisti e di dotti. Egli dedicò tutta la sua lunga vita (morì a 86 anni nel 1460) all’istruzione dei giovani.
