Brunetto (o Burnetto) Latini (Firenze 1220 circa - 1274), notaio, nel 1260 è ambasciatore guelfo in Castiglia presso Alfonso X; dopo la sconfitta di Montaperti, esule, vive in Francia, ad Arras, Parigi e Bar-sur-Aube; dopo la battaglia di Benevento torna a Firenze, occupando importanti cariche pubbliche fino al priorato (1287).
