John Seymour (c. 1450 – 26 October 1491) of Wulfhall, of Stalbridge, of Stinchcombe and of Huish, all in Wiltshire, England, was warden of Savernake Forest and a prominent member of the landed gentry in the counties of Wiltshire, Somerset and Dorset. He was the grandfather of Jane Seymour (c. 1508–1537), the third wife of King Henry VIII, and was thus great-grandfather of King Edward VI.

Mother. Margery Wentworth. Thomas Seymour, 1st Baron Seymour of Sudeley, KG, PC ( c. 1508 – 20 March 1549) was a brother of Jane Seymour, the third wife of King Henry VIII. [1] With his brother, Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset and Lord Protector of England, he vied for control of their nephew, the young King Edward VI ( r. 1547–1553 ).

Sir John Seymour was de oudste zoon van John Seymour, heer van Wulfhall, uit diens huwelijk met Elizabeth Darell. Op 22 oktober 1494 huwde hij met Margery Wentworth (1478-1550), dochter van Henry Wentworth, heer van Nettlestead, en verre afstammeling van koning Eduard III van Engeland . Na de dood van zijn vader erfde hij in 1492 diens bezittingen.
