Bernardo de Lippe-Biesterfeld. Bernardo de Lippe-Biesterfeld (en alemán: Bernhard Leopold Friedrich Eberhard Julius Kurt Karl Gottfried Peter Prinz zur Lippe-Biesterfeld) ( Jena, 29 de junio de 1911- Utrecht, 1 de diciembre de 2004) fue príncipe consorte de los Países Bajos tras su matrimonio con la reina Juliana.
The Prince’s brother, Prince Aschwin of Lippe-Biesterfeld, was an officer in the German army. Although the secret services on both sides were interested in this peculiar pair of brothers, no improper contacts or leaks of information were discovered. The Prince showed himself to be a loyal Dutch citizen and officer.

The wedding was being held on 7 January 1937 in the Grote of Sint-Jacobskerk (Great, or St. James Church) in The Hague, The Netherlands. When some years ago I tried to find out who they were, it turned out that wasn’t that easy.

He was born in Jena, Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, German Empire. He died of lung cancer in Utrecht, Netherlands at the age of 93.

He was educated at the universities of Lausanne, Munich, and Berlin, where he studied law. Following the majority of German princelings after 1933, he joined the Reiter SS Corps.
