Robert the Bruce est un film américain réalisé par Richard Gray, sorti en 2019. Angus Macfadyen y incarne à nouveau Robert Bruce après Braveheart de Mel Gibson sorti en 1995. Le film est ainsi considéré comme une suite à Braveheart . Le film est présenté en avant-première au festival international du film d'Édimbourg 2019.
9 de feb. de 2023 · Robert the Bruce was born to Robert (VII) the Bruce and Marjorie, Countess of Carrick, on July 11 1274. He was the eldest son out of the ten children born to the couple. It is most likely that he was born in Turnberry Castle, Ayrshire in sout-west Scotland; but other sources suggest that this future hero of Scotland could have been born in Lochmaben, Dumfriesshire or Writtle, Essex in England.

Robert de Brus (July 1243 – before April 1304), 6th Lord of Annandale, jure uxoris Earl of Carrick (1252–1292), Lord of Hartness, Writtle and Hatfield Broad Oak, was a cross-border lord, and participant of the Second Barons' War, Ninth Crusade, Welsh Wars, and First War of Scottish Independence, as well as father to the future king of Scotland Robert the Bruce.
