Day pupils at Downe House benefit from a full boarding education but with the added benefit of sleeping in their own beds at home. They are fully integrated into all aspects of school life, enjoying an extended day, with the flexibility of starting as early as 7.30am for breakfast and staying to enjoy all the activities on offer once lessons finish at 6pm.
Progressing into the Upper School at 13+, girls move into their Upper School House, living there until they have completed their GCSEs. At 12+, all girls will spend up to a term at our smaller school in France.
Downe House provides individual care for every international pupil, starting with advice to guide you through the international student application process. Overseas girls who come to Downe House receive special support with English as an additional language (if appropriate) as well as flights, travel and all aspects of school life, both pastoral and academic.
