The sets, costumes, make-up and overall design are gorgeous. The dancing is divine. Pure cinema. Absolutely begs for a Blu-Ray re-issue. Gene Kelly, auteur bitch. ★★★★. The idea of a film told entirely through dance is not an impossible concept, especially with the idea of Gene Kelly being the star, director, and choreographer.
