25 de abr. de 2019 · While Jennie wasn't much of a playwright, she was a talented memoirist. Her book The Reminiscences of Lady Randolph Churchill came out in 1908 and was a great success. Her 1916 collection of essays, Short Talks on Big Subject,s was also very successful.
Ralph G. Martin was an American journalist who authored or co-authored about thirty books, including popular biographies of recent historical figures, among which, Jennie, a two-volume (1969 and 1971) study of Winston Churchill's American mother, Lady Randolph Churchill, became the most prominent bestseller.
Lady Churchill and Her Two Sons A great beauty and social figure, Lady Randolph was a dominating if distant presence in Winston's childhood. In his own account of his early life, he compares her to a "fairy princess" and the Evening Star, and admits, "I loved her dearly--but at a distance."

Writing in her book American Jennie: The Remarkable Life of Lady Randolph Churchill, author Anne Sebba detailed how Lady Randolph's sisters believed the biological father of Jack was Evelyn Boscawen, 7th Viscount Falmouth.
