Conservation scientists use the declining population paradigm (Caughley 1994 ) to identify the cause(s) of population decline and reduce them to reverse the decline.

In 1982, Yellowstone National Park identified areas important to grizzly bears ( Ursus arctos ) to help protect critical grizzly bear habitat and reduce the likelihood of human injuries by bears.

In 2021 the Editorial Board was composed of 33% women and 67% men.
