St. John Henry Newman was canonized a Catholic saint in 2019. In the course of his long life (1801- 1890), Newman went from an Anglican clergyman, theologian, and academic to becoming a Catholic convert who was eventually named a Cardinal by Pope Leo XIII in 1879. His conversion gave him a special appreciation for liturgical tradition.

Any student or parent seeking intercession would do well to pray to St. John Henry Newman (1801-1890), who was canonized last year and is celebrated on his feast day, Oct. 9.
